My goal this year was to not spend a dime on Christmas decorations or lights. So, when I started putting the lights on the tree and realized that on 6 of 11 strands of white lights, half the lights weren't working, I was pretty bummed. Jeff said to go buy more, but I really wanted to stick to my plan of not spending money, so I didn't. Instead, I used the half strand and then balled up the part of the strand that wasn't working and stuffed it deep into the tree. There's about 300 less lights on the tree than I planned, but it'll have to do. I still think it looks great and Reilly had a very good time putting all the ornaments on for me.
